Homegrown Music Talent To Thrive Under Funding Program

Council is hoping to strike a chord through the Revive Live program and give our local music scene a big boost.

If successful, the $100,000 grant will support homegrown talent, attract touring artists to Far North Queensland, and upgrade sound equipment at the iconic Tanks Arts Centre.

The funding will also help deliver programs such as Flame.Arts while making events more accessible for everyone.

If successful, the Tanks Art Centre will establish an ongoing and regular Auslan interpreted performance program, along with 'Quiet Spaces' at its venues.

Revive Live, announced in the 2024-25 Federal Budget, is aimed at keeping live music alive, supporting artists, and ensuring our venues thrive in the years ahead.

We'll know the outcome by November 2024.
