An epic line-up of Australia's hottest homegrown talent will hit the stage at the City of Gold Coast's inaugural Sundown live music event this weekend.
Sundown 2024 is a FREE, pop-up music event being held on Nerang Street at Southport on Saturday 25 May featuring musos from Triple J's Unearthed and Hottest 100!
The stellar line-up includes The Rions, Hope D, Buttered, Chutney, Jem Cassar-Daley, Lyric and DJ Cory Hotline.
"Sundown is a spectacular event for all-ages - you don't need a ticket, so just turn up on the day and make music memories that will last a lifetime," said Gold Coast Division 6 Councillor Brooke Patterson.
"The local line-up is going to bring the streets of Southport alive with music you'll be familiar with from Triple J.
"We have a vision for Southport to become our live music hub by creating a vibrant collection of live music, arts, food and entertainment."
"Sundown is one of many live music events we plan to host within Southport Special Entertainment Precinct to bring this dream alive."
The City's live music industry has been thriving following the launch of the Music Action Plan which has contributed $3.25 million towards the local industry, providing support to live music venues and musicians as well as promoting local live music globally.
As well as live music, Sundown will include tasty eats, colourful art and markets with Carafe Wines and Young Henry's keeping those over 18 years of age hydrated during the event. When the day is done, keep the good times going by venturing to one of the CBD's many live music venues for more live local music action.
Sundown is produced by City of Gold Coast and supported by Live Music Australia – an Australian Government Initiative.
