Police have commenced a homicide investigation after a man was fatally stabbed in Acacia Ridge.
Emergency services where called to a park on Mortimer Road around 12.10am where they located a man with a stab wound to the chest.
The 22-year-old Acacia Ridge man died at the scene.
Initial investigations indicate the man was known to the offender, who fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with further information or relevant vision of the area around that time to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
