A 55-year-old woman is assisting police with their investigation following the fatal stabbing of a woman in her forties in Hamilton this morning.
Around 8.45am, police were called to a Oxford Street, Hamilton address following reports of a disturbance.
The woman sustained several stab wounds and was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, where she later passed away from her injuries.
Police will allege the two women were known to each other but not in a familial setting.
Investigations are continuing.
