Homicide Investigation, Bowen Hills

Detectives from the Fortitude Valley Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a 39-year-old West End man this morning, April 6.

At around 4:15am, police were called to reports the man had sustained critical stab wounds while at a Hamilton Place unit.

A 22-year-old Bowen Hills man, known to him, is currently assisting police with enquiries.

The 39-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was declared deceased a short time later.

A crime scene has been declared, and investigations are continuing.
