Police have commenced a homicide investigation following a woman being shot at North Toowoomba this afternoon, February 26.
Initial investigations indicate that at around 1:50pm, emergency services were called to a Christmas Street address following reports of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, a 27-year-old Wilsonton woman was located with multiple serious injuries.
She was transported to Toowoomba Hospital, where she was declared deceased.
Multiple people who were at the location at the time of the incident are currently assisting police with their enquires.
Investigations into the incident and efforts to locate any outstanding people are ongoing, however there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have information that may be able to assist or may have been in the vicinity of Christmas Street and West Street before the time of the incident, to come forward.
