Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Hoppers Crossing today.
Emergency services were called to an address on Grevillia Court to reports of a disturbance about 1.15pm.
Responding police located a man behaving erratically who was apprehended at the scene and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A further search of the property located an unresponsive woman.
The woman, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident at this time and the parties involved are believed to be known to each other.
