Homicide Squad detectives are re-appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into the shooting murder of a man in Sydney's west last year.
About 2.30am on Monday 30 November 2020, emergency services were called to Rymill Street at Tregear, following reports of a home invasion.
When police arrived, they located a man suffering gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.
The man was later identified as 30-year-old Adnan Salemah.
Initial inquiries were conducted by officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command before detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad took carriage of the investigation under Strike Force Chatelaine.
Homicide Squad Commander, Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty, said investigators remain focused on finding and arresting those responsible for Adnan's death.
"Strike Force Chatelaine detectives are determined to locate those involved in Adnan's murder after he was violently gunned down inside his own home," Det Supt Doherty said.
"Police are confident that someone in the community has information that may be of assistance to investigators, and we encourage those people to come forward.
"After nine months of unanswered questions, officers hope to be able to provide some answers to Adnan's family," Det Supt Doherty said.
Investigations under Strike Force Chatelaine are continuing.
