On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my best wishes to the people of Honduras as they celebrate the 203rd anniversary of their independence on September 15. Strong cultural and family ties run between Honduras and the United States, and we deeply value our steadfast relationship with Honduras and the Honduran people.
The United States looks forward to continuing to collaborate with Honduras to address the root causes of irregular migration, recognize labor rights, promote inclusive economic growth and prosperity, enhance security and the rule of law, protect human rights, and strengthen democratic institutions ahead of national elections in 2025. We look forward to our continued partnership, and I congratulate all Hondurans on this important day.
