Travelling at more than 90km/h over the speed limit was not enough for a hoon to escape justice in Quandong on Thursday., Victoria Police say
Moorabool Highway Patrol members recorded a vehicle travelling at 117km/h in a 100km/h zone on Ballan Road just before 5pm.
Police moved to intercept the car which has then sped off, hitting a maximum speed of 194km/h.
Highway Patrol members later caught sight of the car about eight kilometres away and activated their lights and sirens, causing the offending car to at last pull over.
The driver, a 42-year-old Wyndham Vale man, is expected to be charged on summons with hoon-related offences.
His car was impounded under hoon legislation.
