Police have charged a 20-year-old Emerald man following multiple driving offences in Emerald on Saturday night, February 22.
Around 8.20pm, police officers were doing regular patrols when they observed a silver Holden Commodore allegedly hooning at the intersection of White Street and Grey Street.
The vehicle allegedly did a burnout before accelerating away down White Street where it was intercepted on Roberts Street.
The driver later returned a positive roadside breath test and weapons were allegedly located in his vehicle.
The 20-year-old man has been charged with wilful create undue noise and smoke and drink driving after allegedly returning a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of .063% back at the police station.
He was also given a notice to appear for possessions of a knife in a public place.
The Holden Commodore has been impounded.
The 20-year-old man is due to appear before Emerald Magistrates Court today, March 25.
Investigations are ongoing.
