Hooning Offences In Darwin 9 September

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to hooning offences across Darwin City on Saturday morning.

Around 9am, police received reports of a white Holden Rodeo utility driving dangerously, conducting burnouts and driving on the footpath in close proximity to pedestrians around Cavenagh Street and McMinn Street.

A 36-year-old male was arrested and later remanded in custody in regards to the offending, his vehicle was seized under Anti-hooning legislation and also defected.

The driver has been charged with multiple driving offences including Drive with prohibited drug in body, Drive under the influence of alcohol, Drive vehicle on footpath and Drive vehicle without fastened seatbelt.

Police urge those in the area with dash-cam or CCTV between 9am to 11am to make contact on 131 444 and quote number NTP2400088988.
