Major Crash Investigation officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Hopeland yesterday morning, Thursday 14 January 2021, which resulted in the death of a 61-year-old woman.
Just before 10am, a maroon coloured Toyota Kluger station-wagon and a white Toyota Landcruiser utility collided at the intersection of Hopeland and Karnup Roads.
The occupants of the Kluger, an 82-year-old man who was the driver, a 61-year-old woman who was the front passenger, and three girls aged 3, 4 and 13 were rear passengers. All of them were injured in the crash and conveyed by ambulance to Rockingham Hospital. Sadly, the 61-year-old woman died in hospital.
The20-year-old male driver of the Landcruiser received minor injuries.
Major Crash Investigation officers are urging anyone who saw the crash or the Toyota Landcruiser or the Toyota Kluger travelling in the area prior to the crash, or has dash-cam vision of either, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
