House destroyed by fire at Lake Illawarra

Police are investigating after a house was destroyed by fire in the Illawarra today.

About 5.30am (Tuesday 10 August 2021), emergency services were called to a house on Linum Place, Barrack Heights, following reports of a fire at the back of the property.

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze, which caused extensive damage to the premises.

No one was home at the time and there were no injuries reported.

Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District established a crime scene and are investigating.
