A house has been destroyed by fire in Sydney’s south west, NSW Police say.
About 1am tomorrow, police and emergency services were called to a house fire on McIlwain Street, Ashcroft.
The house was found to be well alight before it was extinguished by fire fighters.
The sole occupant of the home, a 35-year-old woman, escaped uninjured.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious. It is believed the blaze was caused by a cigarette.
