Launceston Police are investigating a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of Howick and Wellington Streets, Launceston yesterday.
Tasmania Police and emergency services attended the scene about 2:20pm.
Initial enquiries indicate a black Mitsubishi Triton was travelling north at high speed on Wellington Street, before travelling through a red traffic light and colliding with another vehicle in the intersection.
The Mitsubishi Triton then crossed to the other side of the road and became airborne after impacting two stationary vehicles. The Triton then landed on its side and collided with a truck.
The two occupants of the Triton ran from the crash scene towards South Launceston, and police conducted a search of the surrounding areas.
They located the two men believed to be involved, who are now assisting police with their investigation.
No serious injuries were reported.
"We would like to speak with any members of the public who may have witnessed this vehicle driving prior to the crash," said Acting Sergeant Andrew Sowell.
Anyone with information or relevant dash cam footage should contact Launceston Police on 131 444.
