Lottery officials are on the hunt for a mystery North Queensland local or visitor who won a whopping $1.24 million in the latest Saturday Gold Lotto draw but hasn't come forward to claim their prize.
The winning ticket sold in Mackay was one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4493 on Saturday 10 August 2024, each nabbing $1,244,104.42 from $5 million top prize.
However, as the winning entry is not registered to a player card, officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the ticketholder and must wait for them to check their ticket and come forward.
The division one winning entry was purchased at TSG Marian, Shop 6, 247 Anzac Parade, Marian.
TSG Marian manager Julie Hay said she was so excited to have sold her first division one winning entry, especially coming from a small tight-knit community.
“It’s such great news for a small community, and we’re just waiting to hear when our mystery division one winner will find out they’ve taken home a wonderful prize,” she said.
“We’ll definitely be celebrating this winning news in-store with lots of excitement and laughter!
“This is our first division one winning entry, so you can imagine that we’re really excited.
“A big congratulations to our mystery winner and we’re so happy that we were the ones to make this winning moment happen for them. We can’t wait for them to check their ticket!”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she hoped Mackay’s latest division one winner checked their ticket and came forward soon.
“Our elusive winner is likely oblivious to the fact they’ve won more than $1.24 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw,” she said.
“We’re urging anyone who purchased a Saturday Gold Lotto ticket from TSG Marian to check their tickets today!
“How exciting would it be to discover you’ve won division one? It would be an unforgettable moment and one that would certainly alter any plans you already had for the year ahead!

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4493 on 10 August 2024 were 42, 37, 4, 45, 10 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 15.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4493 – three in Queensland and one in Western Australia.
