Huntly Composting Project: Community Conference Set

Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) is inviting community members to a community conference to discuss an application to build an organic resource recovery and composting facility in Huntly, north of Bendigo.

The independently facilitated conference will give the community an opportunity to talk directly with EPA staff. This will enable EPA to explain the application assessment process and gain a better understanding of community views and concerns that need to be considered in assessment of the application from Western Composting Technology Pty Ltd.

"About 150 people wrote to us about the proposal. The Conference is an important opportunity for the community to come together and have any concerns heard," said EPA North West Manager Paul Ratajczyk.

"We need people who want to attend to register with us as early as possible."

Proposed conference details:

  • Date: Monday, 27 May 2024
  • Time: 5:30 pm to 8pm
  • Venue: Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve (353 Midland Hwy, Huntly VIC 3551)

If you would like to attend the conference, please register by clicking here. Registrations will close at midnight on Wednesday, 22 May 2024.
