Identity sought after Brunswick cage burglaries

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a man after a series of cage burglaries in Brunswick.

It's believed the same man broke into storage cages at five separate Brunswick addresses between August and October:

• Brunswick Road about 9am on 9 August

• Lygon Street between 4 and 9 September

• Barkly Street between 6 and 7 September

• Breese Street about 2.10pm on 24 September

• Barkly Street between 6.30am and 3.15pm on 30 September

It is believed the offender stole a Milwaukee cordless drill set, blue Makita radio, Paslode power tools, suitcases containing various clothing and four bicycles:

• a black Trek Emonda,

• a white Merinda,

• a 2002 green and black Giant; and,

• a silver and black Scott Ransom 920.

Detectives have released images of a man who they believe will be able to assist with the investigation.

He is described as a Caucasian male in his 30s with a medium build.
