I'll Divide And Share: Victoria Woman Banks Lotto

A Victorian woman has received a bittersweet reminder of her late father after winning a substantial share of Saturday Lotto $20 million Superdraw prize using the special numbers he left behind.

The Melburnian held one of the 21 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4489, drawn Saturday 27 July 2024 and looks forward to a total division one prize of $952,380.96.

The Essendon woman was completely oblivious to holding all of the winning numbers on her ticket, leading to scepticism when answering a phone call from lottery officials this morning.

“Really? No way! No way!” she cheered.

“Is this a joke? A scam?

“I’ve been playing this ticket for years and years, maybe six years. I took over my Dad’s numbers when he passed away and I have been playing them ever since.

“Funnily enough, Dad’s numbers would always come up in the draws. I always have small wins here and there with his numbers.

“We always used to joke that he probably had already won with his numbers but never told us!

“I got a phone call on the weekend, but I thought it was a scam, so I just left it.

“What a way to start the week!

“I’m going to divide and share with my family.

“Thank you so much.”

Her winning marked 12-game entry was purchased at North Essendon Lotto, 7 Leake Street, Essendon.

The North Essendon Lotto team said they were pleased to have helped change the lives of one of their customers and wished them all the best with their prize.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4489 on 27 July 2024 were 4, 37, 45, 27, 11 and 20, while the supplementary numbers were 15 and 10.

Across Australia, there were 21 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4489 – seven in Victoria, five in New South Wales, four in Queensland, two in South Australia and Western Australia, and one in Tasmania.
