A woman from Lake Illawarra, New South Wales, has won $2 million in Saturday’s Lotto draw and revealed that her first thought was to share the news with her parents.
The woman held one of ten Division One winning entries in Saturday Lotto Draw 4515, held on 26 October 2024, each securing a $2 million prize.
The woman, who discovered her win just moments before receiving a call from lotto officials, was still overwhelmed with excitement.
“I’m shaking. Oh my gosh!” she said.
“Sh**! I’ve been ignoring your phone calls all day.
“When I checked my ticket, I saw two million, I just went ‘Oh my sh**!’.
“I can buy a house, and I’ll have no mortgage! I can’t believe it.
“I’ve never won something like this. I can’t stop smiling and laughing.
“I’ve got to call mum and dad! I’ll make sure they’re sitting down.
“Dad’s going to be in disbelief when I tell him I won on a QuickPick because he’s played the same numbers for years and never won something like this.
“Oh gosh. I don’t know how I’ll keep quiet tomorrow; I can never keep secrets.
“Now I can move closer to my parents, or they can move closer to me. We’ve always talked about it but now it can be a reality.”
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4515 on 26 October 2024 were 42, 35, 1, 43, 25 and 29, while the supplementary numbers were 19 and 31.
Across Australia, there were 10 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4515 – four in New South Wales, three in Queensland, two in Western Australia and one in Victoria.
