The International Labour Organization (ILO) will release a comprehensive report on the impact of heat stress on workers, across different regions and sectors, including in countries with no or limited experience with extreme heat.
The report provides updated estimates on the number of workers exposed to excessive heat worldwide, detailed regional data on heat stress impacts, analysis of economic costs associated, and recommendations for developing effective heat action plans for workplaces.
The report and all associated materials will be under STRICT EMBARGO until 25 July at 18:30 CEST (12.30 EST, 16.30 GMT).
