A Sydney man has taken a cool and collected approach after discovering his $1 million win in the recent Saturday Lotto draw. This win marks a significant financial boost, and while he doesn't plan a flashy celebration, he acknowledges the life-changing impact.
The Warrawee resident held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4473, drawn Saturday 1 June 2024 and pocketed $1,048,013.90.
“I’m good!” he laughed when a lotto official revealed the wondrous news.
“Thank you. That’s very exciting.
“I’m pretty calm surprisingly!
“I play regularly. I use different numbers that all have their special meanings.
“That’s great. I’m quite private so I won’t be doing too much to celebrate and I think I’ll keep the news to myself.
“Thank you so much.”
When asked how he planned to use his newfound fortune, the winning man revealed he didn’t have any immediate plans in mind.
“Honestly, bills are the first thing that comes to mind!
“It’ll definitely help a lot. I’m not sure what else at the moment but I’ll have a good think about it.”
The winning entry was a marked 12-game entry.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4473 on 1 June 2024 were 22, 42, 39, 28, 5 and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 13 and 29.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4473 – two in New South Wales, one each in Tasmania, Victoria and Queensland.
