Images Released After Suspicious Car Fire - Yagoona

Police have released images as they continue to investigate a suspicious fire in Yagoona today.

Just before 3.00am (Sunday 1 September 2024), officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were called to Bowden Boulevarde, Yagoona, following reports of three cars on fire.

Police arrived to find a BMW X4 and a Mazda 3 parked in the driveway of a residence, well alight.

A short time later, Fire and Rescue NSW officers extinguished the blaze.

A Mercedes A class parked adjacent to the driveway was also damaged.

Police received no reports of injuries.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As investigations continue into the incident, police have released images of a person who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The person is depicted in the images as wearing dark clothing with reflective stripes on the jacket/hooded jumper.

Two people were also seen around Bowden Boulevarde around the time of the incident who may be able to assist. They were riding a motorcycle similar to the motorcycle depicted in the image.
