The Tasmanian Government reiterates its thanks to emergency service personnel and volunteers across the State for their mammoth effort over the past four days.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff said while the worst of the weather had subsided, Tasmanians must remain vigilant.
"It will take some time for the power to be fully restored, roads to be cleared of debris and infrastructure repairs to be completed," Premier Rockliff said.
"We thank Tasmanians for their patience as this work is completed as quickly as possible while also ensuring people are safe.
"Importantly, Emergency Assistance Grants are available for residents in the Derwent Valley who have been impacted by flooding, including at Meadowbank, Glenora, Gretna, Macquarie Plains, Maydena, Strathgordon and surrounds.
"The support is there to help impacted Tasmanians obtain essential and appropriate shelter, food, transport and other personal items."
Grant funds available are:
"We will continue to assess the impact of the wild weather on Tasmanian communities over the next 12 to 24 hours," Premier Rockliff said.
"The Government continues to work with local councils on the impact to communities and businesses, and we stand ready to provide further support if it is needed."
Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Felix Ellis reminded Tasmanians to continue to follow the advice of emergency services over coming days.
"Tasmanians have banded together in recent days to look after each other and I thank the community for responding so well," Minister Ellis said.
"We must also recognise the incredible efforts of our emergency service crews and volunteers - their actions have kept Tasmanians safe during a difficult period and we thank them for their tireless efforts.
"It's wonderful to see Tasmanians downloading the TasAlert app – there have been 42,000 downloads since launching just over a week ago and it has reached number one in News on the Apple App Store."
