The Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, Catherine King, has visited the Central Coast to highlight budget funding for local roads and community facilities.
The Albanese Government has delivered on its election commitments, funding projects that will build a better future for the Central Coast, including:
- $40 million for the Central Coast Roads Package
- $30 million upgrade to Avoca Drive
- $750,000 for better facilities at Frost Reserve in Kincumber.
Through the Budget, the Albanese Government also committed an additional $250 million to the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program.
As part of her visit to the Central Coast, the Minister also visited the upgraded playspace at Ross Park, at Avoca Beach and at Jirramba Reserve in Saratoga. Both projects were partly funded under the Government Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program.
The Government is also delivering $1.2 million to revitalise The Entrance.
Minister King and the Federal Member for Dobell, Emma McBride MP have visited The Entrance Ocean Baths where funding will go to improvements such as renovating the baths, making the waterfront plaza playspace more accessible, and installing shade sails.
