NSW SES members have responded to an increase in calls for storm jobs after windy conditions caused damage this weekend.
On top of 260 flood-related requests for help across the state, NSW SES has been busy with 245 storm jobs.
These have included roofs flying off in the state's southwest, and fallen trees and powerlines in the state's southeast and Sydney areas.
NSW SES Assistant Commissioner Dean Storey said saturated soils meant falling trees and flash flooding can occur easily and quickly.
"Yesterday, two roofs blew off houses and flash flooding occurred after an intense storm passed through Pomona, a small town near Wentworth in the state's south-west," Assistant Commissioner Storey said.
"With damaging winds forecast to continue until at least tomorrow, we urge members of the public to help our volunteers by taking responsibility for your properties before severe weather occurs.
"You can do this by fixing roof damage, trimming branches, securing items in your backyard and moving vehicles undercover."
In Central West NSW, the Lachlan River at Forbes has dropped to below major level. NSW SES members have conducted nearly 500 damage assessments this weekend, with about half of those buildings deemed 'damaged'.
"This week's inundation was the third time in four weeks the Forbes community has faced major flooding," Assistant Commissioner Storey said.
"NSW SES members continue to assist downstream communities with sandbagging, resupply and evacuation assistance, including at Condobolin and Euabalong."
The town of Deniliquin is also a focus with the Edward River forecast to exceed major level early next week, and low-lying areas expected to be affected.
