Indecent recording of a teenager

Armadale Detectives have charged a man after he was reported for allegedly trying to film up a teenage girl's skirt.

Around 12.20pm on Saturday 2 August 2020, a 15-year-old girl was in a large retail store located within a shopping centre located on Orchard Avenue in Armadale when it is alleged the man approached her from behind with his mobile phone in his hand.

It is further alleged he stood within a short distance of her and dropped an empty shopping bag on the floor behind her and deliberately kicked the shopping bag between her legs before bending down to pick it up with his mobile phone still in his hand.

The girl's mother alerted shopping centre security and the matter was referred to police.

The 62-year-old man from Brookdale has been charged with:-

• (Att) Indecently Recorded a Child over 13 and under 16 years.

He is due to appear in court at a later date.
