Police charged the man with 12 counts of indecent treatment of children and three counts of wilful exposure earlier this week after he allegedly offended against two children known to him in a professional capacity in the surfing industry on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast since August last year.

Ongoing investigations have identified an alleged additional two victims and investigations regarding those children are ongoing.

A search warrant at a Gympie property yesterday, December 18, also led to further charges.

The 26-year-old Peregian Springs man has been charged with four counts of indecent treatment of children, two counts of making child exploitation material, two counts of using carriage service access child abuse material, two counts of wilful exposure, two counts of grooming children under 16 and one count each of possessing child exploitation material and damaging evidence with intent.

He is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today, December 19.

Detectives are continuing to investigate and are appealing to anyone who may have experienced similar to come forward.
