We're seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, based in northern Australia to become part of the Northern Australia Indigenous Reference Group (IRG).
The EOI is for Chair and Member positions. The positions are for a term of 2 years to December 2026, with the possibility for extension.
The IRG was established in 2017 as a key advisory body for the Australian Government on pan-northern issues and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prosperity.
The IRG will use their platform to influence Australian Government policy for northern Australia, and play a strong role in providing advice to maximise Indigenous outcomes from priorities outlined in the Northern Australia Action Plan 2024-2029.
Applicants should have a passion for Indigenous business and industry growth. We are seeking individuals with:
- Expertise in Indigenous business
- Industry knowledge
- Strategic insight
- Commitment to Indigenous empowerment
