Applications for the 2025 AMA Indigenous Medical Scholarship have opened today.
This is always an exciting time of year as we start seeing applications from the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors.
This is a very important scholarship that has helped grow the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce for the past 30 years.
2023 scholarship recipient T'kido Ttiasey spoke to the National Indigenous Times this week about the positive impact the scholarship has had on his journey to becoming a doctor.
AMA President Dr Danielle McMullen and Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association Dr Simone Raye also spoke about the importance of the scholarship in a media release out today.
Applications close on 31 January, 2025.
