Applications are now open for Indigo Shire's annual grants program, with more than $130,000 available across three streams – Community Grants, Tourism Events Grants, and Community Facility Energy Upgrade Grants.
The Community Grants program includes $47,500 for general and arts and culture projects as well as $2500 for youth initiatives.
The Tourism and Events grants will offer a total pool of $62,000 which includes $26,000 in financial support and $36,000 in logistics support.
The Community Facility Energy Upgrade Grant will provide $20,000 to community groups for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
Indigo Shire Mayor Bernard Gaffney said that the grants program aims to support a wide range of projects and initiatives that make Indigo Shire a great place to live, work and visit.
"From arts and culture, youth initiatives, tourism and events, and sustainability these grants support our community to deliver a variety of projects that benefit Indigo Shire and its residents.
"We encourage all eligible community groups to apply. In previous years we have seen some fantastic events and projects come to fruition through our grants program, and we look forward to seeing many more in 2019/20," Cr Gaffney said.
