Corangamite Shire Council's Positive Ageing & Inclusion team continues to visit libraries across the Shire.
"Getting to know our residents face to face is important to us," Coordinator of Positive Ageing & Inclusion Belinda Rowbottom said.
"We can learn and understand the needs of our senior residents and vulnerable people.
"It also assists us in the development of an Active Seniors Program to assist residents to stay healthy, active, and connected to their community.
"We are available to assist senior residents across the Shire to access the services they need to support their independence.
"We can provide guidance in understanding the My Aged Care system, including the intake and assessment process and information about local service providers."
Positive Ageing & Inclusion Service Navigator Lesa Best said the team also continues to link carers and individuals to support services and social groups and assist with food relief.
"For new residents to the shire or if you're feeling isolated, we want to be able to support these residents feel part of the community by spreading the word about the many community groups and activities available.
"The Navigation Support Program is free and confidential. Come along to one of the sessions below to learn how the program can help you.
