Murray River Council has this week received a report on the healthy status of its community infrastructure projects schedule.
Presented as part of its ordinary meeting agenda on Tuesday, the report details a number of projects currently underway across the council footprint.
It also highlighted 27 projects that have been completed aver the past 24 months, including the multipurpose pavilions in both Moama and Barham.
"It's a credit to our staff and contractors that we have delivered these projects despite the restrictive environment of the last 12 months," Murray River Council mayor Chris Bilkey said
"Our staff have really put in the effort to make sure there has been minimal impact on the delivery schedule."
One of the high-profile projects due for completion over the next few months is the Youth Space at Tooleybuc's Mensforth Park, which forms stage 2 of the overall park development project.
Work is set to commence at the space to install a new 'hangout shelter', skate park space, drinking station, path network, flying fox and new park furniture.
Works at are also well and truly underway to give facilities at the Wakool Recreation Reserve a freshen-up.
One of the standout improvements includes the installation of an RV dump point, which will be complimented by RV friendly signage in the town's centre and at the entrance to the showground.
Other works include replacing the existing equipment storage shed, upgrading the existing powerheads, installation of solar lighting for internal roadways, new bowling green lighting, irrigation upgrades to the main oval and re-marking the existing synthetic netball courts.
The pavilion amenities are also receiving a facelift with the installation of new plumbing fittings, new tiling, lighting, roof, floor and wall repairs, along with a fresh paint job.
"It's exciting to see the progress that is being made and, like plenty of other Murray River Council residents, I can't wait for these projects to be completed and for locals to make use of the facilities."
