Officers from the Innisfail Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are appealing for witnesses following an incident yesterday, January 23.
It will be alleged between 2:30pm and 2:50pm, a 39-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were in a parked vehicle on Aston Street when they were approached by a 21-year-old Bluewater man in a white Kia Cerato.
After a brief interaction, the 21-year-old man drove away on Coronation Street, before he returned with a 23-year-old Manunda man and approached the driver.
The two men in their twenties allegedly threatened the occupants of the vehicle, before again leaving.
It is further alleged the men returned in the Kia Cerato for a third time and threatened to assault the occupants, before rummaging through the victim's parked vehicle and leaving again.
Police allege the two younger men then followed the men in their thirties in the Kia Cerato and drove dangerously at the intersection of the Bruce Highway and Mourilyan Road, before urging the victims to pull over and attempting to collide with their vehicle.
The 21-year-old Bluewater man was charged with one count each of unlawful stalking, common assault and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
The 23-year-old Manunda man was charged with one count each of unlawful stalking, common assault, driving without a driver's licence, stealing and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Both men were refused bail and are due to appear in the Innisfail Magistrates Court today, January 24.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed or has dashcam of the Kia Cerato driving dangerously between Innisfail and El Arish on January 23, to come forward.
