Inquiries are underway after a man drowned in Mosman this morning.
About 10.20am (Friday 18 April 2025), emergency services were called to Middle Head Point following reports of a concern for the welfare of a man in the water.
Officers from North Shore Police Area Command attended and, with assistance from Surf Life Saving NSW, Marine Rescue, NSW Ambulance paramedics and Marine Area Command, commenced an operation to locate the man.
A short time later, a body was located in water nearby.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the man.
Initial inquiries have led police to believe the man was on rocks when he fell into the water.
Investigations into the incident are underway and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are urged to come forward.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
