Aussies are buzzing with lottery fever as the upcoming Powerball draw boasts a staggering $100 million jackpot after no winners in the past five draws!
The gigantic jackpot for Powerball draw 1461 on Thursday 16 May 2024 is the third-biggest top prize pool of 2024 and the sixth-largest in Australian lottery history.
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said up to half of Australian adults were expected to have an entry into this week’s draw in the hope they scored Powerball’s seventh division one win of 2024.
“If just one person takes home the entire $100 million prize on Thursday night, they’ll not only receive a substantial boost to their bank account before the end of the financial year but also share the crown of Australia’s second biggest lottery winner ever,” he said.
“Only four Aussies know what it’s like to win a lottery prize of $100 million or more, but perhaps we’ll add to that tally on Thursday night.
“The idea of winning this life-changing jackpot is sure to get Aussies dreaming big this week.
“As long as you’ve got a ticket in your hand before the draw’s close at 7.30pm AEST on Thursday night, you’re in with a chance to win!
“If you’re grabbing a ticket, be sure to register your entry to a player card or online account. This means if you win division one, we can call you immediately after the draw with the life-changing news.”
