Camden Council is thrilled to announce the return of its much-loved International Women's Day Gala, set to take place on Thursday 6 March 2025, at the picturesque Gledswood Homestead and Winery.
This year's keynote speaker is none other than Edwina Bartholomew, a celebrated journalist, television presenter, and columnist with over two decades of media experience. Known for her work on Sunrise and her adventurous spirit - skydiving, bungee jumping, and abseiling live on television - Edwina has travelled the globe covering major events and interviewing some of the world's most notable figures.
Edwina will share stories from her extraordinary career and personal journey, inspiring attendees with her insights on resilience, leadership, and making a difference.
The evening promises to be an unforgettable celebration of women's achievements, featuring:
- A two-course meal and drinks package;
- An inspiring keynote address by Edwina Bartholomew;
- A Mayoral address;
- The presentation of the Camden Woman of the Year Award; and
- Networking opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said the event is a highlight of the Council's annual calendar, bringing the community together to celebrate the vital contributions of women.
"International Women's Day is an opportunity to recognise the achievements of women in all aspects of life - from the workplace to the home, and within the community," she said.
"This year's theme, Accelerate Action, reminds us that it's time to turn promises into progress. Together, we can break barriers, celebrate achievements, and create a future where every woman has the opportunity to thrive.
"Our Camden community is full of inspiring women who make a real difference every day. I'm proud to work alongside incredible female leaders, both on Council and within our organisation, as we champion equality and strive to create a more inclusive world.
"This year's gala promises to be an inspiring and empowering evening, and I encourage everyone to secure their tickets early to avoid missing out."
Tickets are $110 per person or $1,000 for a table of 10, including a two-course meal, drinks package, and a gift.
Proceeds from the evening will go towards a local charity, soon to be announced.
