An intruder had to be rescued by police after getting stuck inside a house at Gilberton this afternoon.
Police were called to Park Terrace, Gilberton about 4.30pm on Sunday 21 April after a member of the public heard breaking glass and sounds coming from a nearby townhouse.
Officers located a broken window and found a man trapped inside the home by deadlocked doors.
They managed to help the man climb back through the window without being cut by broken glass.
The 39-year-old North Brighton man was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass. He will face court at a later date.
