Police are investigating the assault and robbery in company of a woman in the state's north-west.
Between 2am and 3am yesterday (Sunday 20 October 2019), a 39-year-old woman attended a house party on Culgoa Street at Bourke when an altercation allegedly occurred involving a group of teenage women.
It is alleged the group assaulted the woman before stealing her handbag containing personal items.
Witnesses intervened and the 39-year-old woman left the location.
It is alleged the group confronted the woman a second time at the front of the location during which a physical altercation occurred.
About 8.30am yesterday (Sunday 20 October 2019), officers attached to Central North Police District were notified of the incident and commenced inquiries.
Investigations continue.
