Investigation Into Fire At Bar In Mandurah

Specialist officers from the Arson Squad are investigating a fire at a heritage listed bar and restaurant located on Mandurah Terrace in Mandurah.

The fire occurred about 5am on Tuesday, 23 April 2024 and caused significant structural damage to the building resulting in it having to be rebuilt. The estimated cost of the damage is $350,000.

Investigators believe the fire was deliberately lit and wish to speak to a person wearing a hoodie with white sleeves, shorts over bike shorts (skins) and carrying a blue type of sports bag. The person was seen around the time of the fire, walking along the boardwalk towards the Mandurah Bridge.

Detectives wish to speak to anyone who was in the area between 5am and 5.30am, particularly a group of early morning runners that ran past the bar on the Mandurah Boardwalk just after 5am.
