An investigation has commenced after the body of a woman was located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
About 9.20am today (Tuesday 30 April 2024), emergency services were called to a unit on Hardy Street, North Bondi, following reports a woman was found unresponsive.
Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended, alongside NSW Ambulance paramedics, and located the body of a woman – who is yet to be formally identified, however is believed to be 19 years of age.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the woman's cause of death.
A 32-year-old man, who had an unrelated outstanding warrant, was arrested at the home and taken to Waverley Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.
The investigation is ongoing.
