Investigations underway after man stabbed at Willoughby

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed at Willoughby overnight.

About 1.20am today (Wednesday 8 December 2021), emergency services were called to Willoughby Road at Willoughby, following reports a man had been stabbed by another man.

On arrival, officers located a 27-year-old man with stab wounds to his chest and shoulder.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers from North Shore Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

An extensive search of the area was conducted; however, no one was located.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone with information about the incident, or dashcam vision from the area, to come forward.
