For the third consecutive year, IOP Publishing's (IOPP) 'Top-cited paper awards' celebrate the most influential papers published in China.
Recognising the significance of work published in IOPP and partner journals between 2017 and 2019, the top one per cent of the most-cited papers - which amounts to 213 papers – received the award, along with the top nine most-cited review papers.
Spanning six subject areas, the papers cover astronomy and astrophysics, biosciences, environmental sciences, materials, mathematics and physics.
In total, the top cited papers received 4,708 citations and the nine most highly-cited review papers received 376 citations
Elaine Tham, Associate Director (APAC & Partnerships) at IOP Publishing, said: "Scientists in China are at the forefront of many areas of scientific innovation and technology. These top cited papers represent the most influential research from the community, and we are proud to publish and celebrate the significance of their work."
