Since their introduction, the Tasmanian Government's Regional Jobs Hubs have been a roaring success, supporting more than 5,000 Tasmanians into employment.
With just eight sleeps until Christmas, the Tasmanian Government is calling on the Federal Labor Government to partner with our Regional Jobs Hub Network and support more Tasmanians seeking employment.
Acting Minister for Skills and Training, Guy Barnett, said the Jobs Hubs have a proven track record of securing employment for Tasmanians.
"Since their launch, we've seen more than 5000 Tasmanians supported into employment, with a further 2000 given training opportunities to further develop their skills," Minister Barnett said.
"We have pioneered the concept of Regional Jobs Hubs and have recently invested a further $13 million of funding to support them through to 2027.
"The Tasmanian Government has been a strong advocate for our Regional Jobs Hubs filling the void of federal employment services, and we will continue to call on the Federal Labor Government to back them in, now and into the future.
"Through our Government's 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, we are committed to investing in our people to future-proof our workforce for years to come.
"It's time for the Federal Labor Government get on board, support Tasmanians seeking employment, and commit funding to our nation-leading Regional Jobs Hubs."
