IWD Exhibition And Ceramics Market Success: Bayside

Bayside Council's free International Women's Day Hand Made Exhibition and Ceramics Market attracted 300 visitors to the Botany Town Hall on Saturday 8 March.

The exhibition by 11 local female artists helped highlight the vibrant creative precinct of Botany while showcasing the potential of the Botany Town Hall as a venue to support the local arts industry.

The local artists exhibiting also had the opportunity to sell their artworks directly to the public.

In the morning attendees heard from Councillor Kassim, Sally Cooper from Claypool and Phyllis Black from St George Potters who spoke about the strength of women through art.

An informative, hands-on ceramics demonstration by Gigi salon in the afternoon helped attendees learn about the many uses of clay.
