The Jerrabomberra Pump Track has been a big hit with local kids since construction finished last month.

'Since work started at David Madew Oval in November last year, the site has been completely transformed into a sealed pump track that local kids will be able to enjoy for years to come,' said Mayor Kenrick Winchester.

'It's been great to see so many kids and their families out enjoying the new pump track, learning new skills and being active in our community.

'We had so much great feedback about the track from attendees of our opening party on Friday 21 March. It was a great afternoon and the kids loved the BMX demonstrations from Dynamic Motivation.

'Council is grateful to the NSW Government for the $418,235 in funding we received through their Regional Youth Investment Program that brought the pump track to life.'

Member for Monaro Steve Whan said, 'Those who know me would be aware how thrilled I am whenever we can get people out and about engaging in an active and healthy lifestyle.

'The Common Ground team and QPRC have done an amazing job on this build, and I can't wait to give it a try on my bike. It's a great addition to our community.'
