Jewellery Theft In Coburg

Merri-Bek Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the theft of a large amount of jewellery at a business in Coburg last month.

Investigators have been told an unknown male and female entered the Sydney Road store on 13 November around 11.30am.

A staff member showed them a number of gold chains and the woman chose one.

The staff member went to the back of the store to resize the chain and whilst they were out the back the woman placed the velvet pouch containing a significant quantity of gold chains in her coat.

The pair then left the store with the jewellery.

Investigators have released images of the male and female in the hope someone may recognise them.
