Snowy Monaro Regional Council wishes to advise residents and businesses that road resealing works will be carried out on a number of streets in the Jindabyne CBD area from Friday 5 April to Saturday 6 April 2024, weather permitting.
The following streets will be resealed as a part of this work:
Friday 5 April 2024
- Banjo Paterson Crescent – Kosciuszko Road to Kosciuszko Road
- Gippsland Street – Snowy River Avenue to Cobbadah Street
- Clyde Street – Bent Street to end
Saturday 6 April 2024
- Thredbo Terrace – Kosciuszko Road to Kosciuszko Road
- Park Road – Thredbo Terrace to John Connor Oval entrance
- Clyde Street – Kalkite Street to Bent Street
- Bogong Street – Park Road to Gippsland Street
- Ingebyra Street – Park Road to Cul De Sac
- Munyang Street – Park Road to Kosciuszko Road
Work hours are between 6am and 6pm each day from 5-6 April. Residents and businesses are advised that all vehicles must be removed from the above streets during this work. This is necessary in order to protect local vehicles and ensure the quality of the resealed road surface. Only on-street parking is affected.
Lane closures and traffic control will be in place while sealing is underway. Motorists should allow extra travel time and follow all traffic management instructions from contractors on site.
There may be short delays of up to 20 minutes at times when bitumen is being sprayed. Council is working closely with the contractor to minimise disruptions, however some delays will be unavoidable.
No full road closures are anticipated at this stage, and access for deliveries and local residents will be maintained even while work is underway.
Any part of this project not completed by 6pm on Saturday 6 April due to poor weather or other delays will be undertaken on Friday 12 or Saturday 13 April 2024.
This program of works is funded by Council as a part of our wider urban road renewal project, helping to futureproof the urban road network across the Snowy Monaro.
