The Jobs and Skills Summit (JSS) met on 1st September to discuss actionable ways to support full employment, boost job security and promote fair wages, increase diversity and inclusiveness in the workforce and increase jobs and opportunities in industries. In line with this, many targeted reforms were proposed to remove barriers of employment and uplift participation across equity groups. In this article, in collaboration with the National Australian Apprenticeship Association, we discuss various outcomes from the summit particularly in relation to Australian Apprenticeships.
